Alaska State Troopers Adventure Relay 2010

Wish Upon the North Star (WUNS) is proud to be honored as the 2010 Alaskan charity for the Alaska State Troopers Adventure (ASTAR) Relay race.

This relay began in Fairbanks on August 4, and finished 526 miles later in Seward on August 7th. There were 28 legs to the relay, each having its own unique challenges along Alaska’s trails, roadways, railroads and rivers.

Alaska State Trooper’s law enforcement community and their family members participated in the relay and were passing the Wish Upon the North Star flag from one participant to the next. This adventure included runs, hikes, mountain bikes, water rafting and kayaking through Alaska’s beautiful and challenging terrain.

Their dedicated quest to overcome this challenging journey benefited Alaskan children who face even greater challenges. 100% of all pledges that participants raised went directly to the WUNS charity.
